Submission Of Ad Hoc Documents for PR Application

Post by vivalostiempo » Wed, 16 Feb 2022 6:25 pm

Hey there!

I recently noticed that under the 'Enquire Application Status' page, there were these additional options to submit documents that wasn't made available earlier on perhaps 8~9 months ago? It does mention on the site that it is for applicants who have received email/letter from ICA to submit documents, however I did not receive any emails nor letters to submit the documents mentioned below.

Is it necessary for me still to submit them regardless?

I would deeply appreciate your share of experience when it comes to this! Thank you for spending your time to read :)

Submit only if there is a change and if you have received the emails/letters. As the site clearly mentions "REQUESTED", you should not be worried at all

Probably too many people flooding ICA’s email with updates to their salary/job, marital status, etc that ICA implemented this to make things more streamlined?

Hi singaporeflyer thanks for the insight! I am relieved to hear that! Do you think I should still send an email to the office just to confirm that it is indeed not necessary?

When you apply for PR, you already provide your address, marital status, and occupation/payslip.

Why would ICA ask again if they already have them? Obviously those buttons are for when there are changes to any of those parameters after you apply for PR.

I mean, do you think ICA is telling you to change your marital status, get updated qualifications, change your job and get a new place?

;)

If my employer has not been changed, but my salary and position changed, shall I upload a new employment letter?

It’s important to be inclusive ~ @Mt Nut that means sarcasm aka what I said is not true but that it is likely the opposite

Is the change significant, if yes - then yes please check with them and then upload. as the portal says - REQUESTED documents, which means you upload when they request.
