Diplomatic clause in Tenancy Agreement

Post by Voogster1 » Fri, 11 Feb 2022 9:37 am

Hello all, looking to exit my TA by diplomatic clause. Wording on the agreement states “can terminate the tenancy if the tenant (by name) shall be required to leave Singapore permanently on a job transfer. Provided it is accompanied by documentary evidence”
Relocating abroad with a different employer to the one he has in SG. Can we still use the diplomatic clause, or does the wording mean transfer with same employer abroad?
We have found a potential new tenant for our unit.
Thanks in advance

Yes. Just have your employer issue a letter or use your termination letter. If asked say why so like this tell them a white lie that your contract has to be terminated as you are being moved to a new contract under a new entity but it's the same employer.
