Yeah, I also took it. I picked correctly, but maybe because I was a Single Malt Scotch drinker back in those days and could actually tell you what 8 different scotches were when sampled on a bar in unmarked shot glasses already poured. Cant do it today though as I've not drank scotch since my 2nd divorce after coming off a 6 month bender back in 1978. I didn't drink any other alcohol at all. Started with scotch and until the bender was all I ever drank with alcohol in it. Switched to Jack Black as I could no longer drink scotch without getting melancholy so had to find something else to drink. Then I came to Singapore were is was too bloody expensive to drink hard liquor so learned how to drink beer as you already know! LOL

I also took the same challenge when Pepsi Black was first introduced here. Some friend and rellies wanted to see if I could do the same with the sugar free versions. So they got a can each and poured them into identical glasses. I picked Pepsi Black. I haven't tried the new sugar-free (don't know if it's zero calorie or not) coke.

I never quit drinking it until Pepsi came out with Pepsi Black (I was a Pepsi drinker before my diet but they didn't have a sugar free version until they came out with Pepsi Black. Between the two I prefer Pepsi's version but I do NOT drink any soft drinks other than that.
You might remember this, back in the 80’s they had “The Pepsi Challenge” where they would give you a blind taste test between Coke and Pepsi. I was a Pepsi drinker at the time, but ended up choosing Coke… and I’ve drank that ever since!
I’m team Pepsi in terms of taste, not sure why but drinking coke makes my teeth feel like they are disintegrating.

What’s a PHV?

Second the point about liquor being crazy expensive here. The only time I ever get any is when I get back to SG at duty free. Now that my daughter is 18, our duty-free allowance has gone up and you bet I’m going to take full advantage of it.

Not sure why, but Pepsi black tastes really weird to me. I’d much rather just drink the full sugar versions, but I can see why they would be appealing to some (diabetics etc).

Exactly. You are the first person other than myself who I know who understands the feeling you get with/through your teeth drinking Coke. It's exactly why I cannot drink it. Make me feels like I'm grinding my teeth.

Yeah, nobody else I’ve brought this up to seems to understand what I mean, I quite literally feel my teeth melting.

Why are food operators increasing food prices so drastically?

I realised with the GST increase in January, many food operators, food courts took the chance to increase their food prices from anything like 10% to...

Fish is super expensive. Otherwise from my neighbourhood coffeeshop can still get economy rice for 2 people (1 meat 2 veg) for about $7.
