Hi,
Is there any type of visa, especially now during COVID, that EP holder can apply during certain circumstances for a parent to come over to Singapore for a month? (in our case it's newborn and we seek help of my husband mother). It's non VLT country from Europe. My mother in law is vaccinated.

Most of European countries do not require visa to come to Singapore. But of course during these Covid times that is not enough. So to come as tourist/visitor would need to use the VTL flight, and to qualify to first stay 14 days in one of those countries and fly straight from there.
But currently you can't book new VTL flights anyway. Or only after 21 Jan, which again might change based on omicrons spread in Singapore.
Any other than VTL would require the hotel quarantine for 10 or 14 days IF even approved.
All the info is in the safetravel site, you can check you country specific options

Re: Visa for parents of EP holder in special circumstances
Correcting myself, it's not likely to need hotel quarantine but can be done at home IF allowed to come at all. But seems that non VTL country visitors if not relative to PR or citizen are not welcomed at all. So to make it easy a 2 week stay in Germany or other VTL country might be the easiest way.

Thanks. We decided to apply for LVTP for one of our parents. EP can do so if you meet certain salary threshold. After that, if LVTP is approved, then need to get an approval of entry and can quarantine at SHN. let's see if this route can be done.

Please remember that the EP holder may only apply for LTVP for their parent not the spouses' parent(s).
