Hi people, need your advice please!
I am married to my SC spouse for 6 months. We have applied for PMLTVP but did not proceed to LTVP as I'm still holding SP. I want to return to my home country for 3 months in Jan/Feb and I want to come back to SG to work. My PMLTVP expires on 31st March.
Should I apply for LTVP at the same time when I tender my resignation, or should I just apply for a visa when I return to SG, and get my spouse to extend my visit pass if I'm unable to find employment during the window?
Also, if I have gotten LTVP and LOC is approved, do I convert from LTVP to SP or do I work using my LTVP?
Thank you in advance for the replies!

Once LTVP with LOC is there, you can work on it and no need to go back to S Passviscorp wrote: ↑Wed, 22 Dec 2021 10:00 amHi people, need your advice please!

Re: Foreign Spouse returning to SG for work
Hi, Thanks for your reply! So basically the new employer will need to continually renew the LOC while my spouse will need to renew my LTVP? Is there anyway that is more convenient for both parties other than getting my PR approved?

Lol, I saw your husband make a similar post on the SG reddit and I have replied there. I’m sure he will share my response with you.
You just need to show the PLOC to the prospective employer. Employer does not need to do anything other than informing MOM they are employing LTVP holder that has PLOC.
Whenever you renew LTVP, same thing, select you want PLOC, show the new PLOC to your employer after your LTVP is renewed. Employer does not renew your PLOC.
When you apply for LTVP, there will be a question asking if you want pre-approved letter of consent (PLOC), it’s the last question. Select yes. When LTVP is approved, MOM will send the PLOC via email.
