Bedok area - any info?

We are due to move to Singapore next month. We have seen a large house in the Bedok area that we think will be suitable for us.
Can anyone give us more info on that particular area? Are there many other expats around there?

The house is actually quite close to Tanah Merah? is this still classed as Bedok? Can't find any maps or info on particular districts.

What do you mean bya large house. How did you see it since you were abroad?

Because we are currently located in Thailand and have we been able to make several weekend trips to Singapore.
This has given us time to view houses and schools etc but not really long enough to get a feel for particular areas.
