SC Approval likelihood

Post by jsam.mentalist » Thu, 04 Nov 2021 11:35 am

Hello,
I've been a lurker for way too long and thought it made sense to share my story here.

Q/ What are my chances in getting SC approved?

Ethinicity: Indian
Age: 32 year old male

Application details: Applied with my wife in Aug 2021 (3 months ago)
Applicant details:
* Annual household combined income (Basic) : ~360k
* On top of that a significant portion of our income is via bonus / addons (~120k) - This reflects in our taxation over the last few years
* I work in the IT space and got my Bachelors and Masters from a local university
* My spouse too completed her undergrad at a local University and is in IT too
* I've been living in SG since 2007 and PR since 2012 (my spouse has been here since 2009 and PR since 2016)
* Have owned a HDB for the last 3 years

Past applications:
* I applied in June 2018 and got rejected in Aug 2019 - Waited for 2 years to apply again (this time with better pay)

Also, what would be the waiting time like :? ?

Hi there, waiting time is unpredictable, can be anywhere from just a few months to as long as two years in some cases, guess it depends on the administrative load of the ICA at any given time, among other factors. As far as your chances go, seems pretty good. Salary is high, time in SG is reasonably long, good that you’re married and own public housing as well. Any kids?
