SC wife, non- SC son, LTVP for schooling in Singapore

Post by chongster » Sat, 30 Oct 2021 8:14 pm

So this is the scenario- if mother is SC and father is British, son was born outside SG and did not register as SG citizen, and the family is now looking to relocate to Singapore.

Will there be any unwritten bias against the son ‘s LTVP application to study in a International School in Singapore?

No intention for son to serve NS, be PR or SG citizen…

Actually he should be put on a Student's Visa and not an LTVP unless he is currently too young to start Primary School.

thanks! that's quite an epiphany! never thought of the student visa. Any idea if the student visa application would be viewed unfavourably given the boy was not registered as SC? or is this then just a straightforward case of a foreign student applying to study in Singapore? The mum and dad will relocate here though...
