FIN Number needed - COC Process

Post by VinhNguyen » Mon, 18 Oct 2021 2:17 pm

I was required to have my COC - Certificate of Clearance from the Singapore police department but no luck without FIN number

I was an international student from 2007-2009, and I have contacted:
1. SPF: Singapore Police Force - no help, they cant retrieve my FIN
2. My School: they only keep records for 5 years
3. ICA: they seems to offer no Help at all

Please help !

Have you checked your old passport?

I definitely did, I still have my old passport but nothing is on there, only the stamp for arrival and departure, no number found :(((

Hmmm, I am surprised.

I just checked my old passport and for each employment pass I received in both 2006 and in 2008, they stamped a full page and wrote down my FIN on each page.

Maybe it’s different for student pass.

Did you check old emails for correspondence back at that time?

Once I realized that I need my FIN, I was so surprised that I have no memory about it. Searching through all my documents, found the school transcript, but the NRIC/FIN number section is my old passport number and is no use in the COC e-service system.

Thanks for sharing thou,
