Had a shock when I saw the Promotions folder and saw some important mails then went straight to Promotions folder in gmail.

How can we avoid important mails from being thrown into promotions folder? :???: :???:

There are actually no folders but labels in Gmail.

Isn't the term folder and labels the same in actual usage? Isn't it just bits added to files to lump them on a screen view when actually the individual files are all over the place on the storage platform? Could call them jars but I thinks another coding platforms already uses that term. Or am I missing something?

You could flag certain senders as not spam or go through the promotion folder and identify the important letters and flag those. The system will learn.

That's true. It's more of a hierarchy thing. And the way they've done "labels" in gmail can sometimes be a bit clunky like different experiences across different clients. The other one is that you can't just right click on a "folder" (label) and say "empty folder". Finding and mass deleting old emails is another big headache but that's another story.
