SC Approval Chances (Indonesian Chinese)

Post by azoolwolf » Tue, 28 Sep 2021 8:09 pm

I have recently submitted my SC application. Can anyone advise me on my SC approval chances, and approximately how long will the wait be for an Indonesian Chinese?

Nationality: Indonesian
Race: Chinese
Age: 29
PR since: 2016 (recently renewed REP)
Marital status: Married to SPR, but applying independently as we are married <2 years
Salary: $150k+ base
Education: Primary through Masters in Singapore

Thank you very much!

12 months if you are lucky. 8 if the deities are smiling down on you.

Thanks for the share.

My wife applied separately (as we cannot apply together given that we are married <2 years). When we did the application we did not indicate that the reason we applied independently was due to the fact that we are married <2 years. Will it help if we include this in our application now, or will it make no difference?

Probably will not make any difference but it cannot hurt either I reckon. If there is a way to note it go ahead.

Hi, I wanted to update on this as I was greatly helped through the forum in my wait for SC.

I got my IPA last week on Jun 18th, making it an approximately 11 months wait since my submission of documents. Not sure if this helps, but I submitted my change of address 8 months into the application to be in the same residential address as my wife (we do not have our own property yet so we have always been flexible between my parent's and my in law's).

Hope this helps the other SC applicants :)

Someone asked about the notification - apologies I have to reply here as my account could not send messages yet (not enough posts).

I got an email from ICA on Jun 18th, but when I logged onto the portal, I realized it was already approved since Jun 16th. So I think the portal may be updated earlier, and the email will be sent a few days after that.
