DBS Bank; pdf file is secured. How to unlock?

Post by musical box » Fri, 10 Sep 2021 9:48 pm

IT Question:
How to annotate, using ACROBAT software? My DBS pdf file (credit card statement) is "secured".
Reason: I do not want hard copy so like to check/mark the file entries electronically.

DBS Question: Have account for 10 years. Only this month have DBS decided to "secure" the pdf credit card statement. Why have they suddenly done so?

Because con artists change the PDF file (such as increasing the balance) before presenting it as "evidence" to loan companies, etc.

You could try "printing" your PDF to another PDF, although secured files often cannot be printed.

To enhance the security in case someone has access to your emails.

I know...it's so annoying..OCBC also does this, and it's very annoying..
