There are quite a few key changes, with 20 more slots for 2C phase, and combining 2A1 and 2A2 into 2A. Which means alumni no longer matters?

I think 2A phase just gets more competitive.

Don’t think so, the article says they are merging the 2 phases so I guess the number of places is just halved.

I believe the 20 slots are taken from the earlier slots, so in a way the earlier slots will have to compete further.
