Check with a lawyer to be sure, but it appears that the statute of limitations for collecting unpaid debts in Singapore is 6 years, so by year 7, they no longer have any legal means to collect the debt from you… so long as you never acknowledge that you owe it. However, if today you admit that you owe that money, then the clock restarts and they have fresh legal means to pursue it with you.
