I’m here on an EP, and my spouse is on DP. I’ll be applying for PR shortly, and fall under one of the tougher ethnic categories, so I’m all prepared to get rejected at first!
I do not intend to include my spouse on PR application, and if my PR is approved, my spouse will be on LTVP. They do not intend to work in SG at least for the next 2-3 years, so a PR doesn’t grant any additional advantage. Furthermore we’ve heard from many friends that oftentimes non-working spouses are put on LTVP anyway.
How should I order my application process -
(1) Apply for PR for myself first, and once this has been approved, then apply for LTVP for spouse?
(2) Apply for PR for myself and LTVP for spouse simultaneously (I don’t know if it’s even possible to submit an LTVP application before my PR has been approved / granted)
(3) Something else?
Other information - we’ve been married for nearly a decade, so this isn’t a short term workaround or anything
Hope to get some advice from you all on this, and anything else to keep in mind while I prepare my PR application or my spouses LTVP!
