I see quite a lot of food written as 'Plant-based', what does it actually mean?

IMHO, plant based doesn't necessarilly mean is meat free.
E.g. plant based diet does not imply meat or dairy free diet, just that the diet is rich in plants.

But for food it probably means:
- something that is often animal based is here plant based (e.g. fat, proteins, dairy)
- something that could be synthetic is here natural and derived from plants

I think plant based shd mean from plants. Even meat can be artificially plant based.

Having said that, plant based is not nutrient rich and not healthy enough. Must eat real meat.
