Abbby, this is what I use. Been using it for 50 years. It's been available over here for a while now but not that well known. Give it a try. Can get in on Lazada (which I just found out!

It's similar to using Cif or any other type of strong cleanser. Just wash it out with normal dish detergent and you are good to go. Can also just boil a pot a water and drain it if still cautious about residue. But seriously, no issues with it at all. This one is nasty looking as it's been under the kitchen sink for ages.
But well used
and due to be replaced!

Alternatively, try using baking soda and vinegar. Mix into a thick paste, and scrub on with a toothbrush.

There's the big difference between homegrown remedies and Bar Keeper's Friend. This stuff is A number 1 at removing rust, with very little elbow grease. Absolutely excellent on stainless steel. Not gritty and abrasive like Ajax or similar.Lisafuller wrote: ↑Thu, 29 Jul 2021 12:32 amAlternatively, try using baking soda and vinegar. Mix into a thick paste, and scrub on with a toothbrush.
If BKF won't take it off, you probably need a wire brush.

Wire brushes work great, but they are incredibly abrasive and leave tons of scratches on metal.Myasis Dragon wrote: ↑Thu, 29 Jul 2021 10:36 amThere's the big difference between homegrown remedies and Bar Keeper's Friend.
