Pass for baby born in Singapore

Post by DMEB_0404 » Thu, 15 Jul 2021 5:17 pm

Hi

Me and my husband are both working in Singapore (Spass holder) I gave birth last feb and wondering what other special passes I can apply for my 4mos old baby? Our dependent pass application was rejected bec we didn't meet the required salary of $6k/person. Our combined salary is more than that but MOM doesn't allow it to be combined.

We have a pending PR application as well. But since our PR application does not have a guarantee I want to know how I can be able to get a valid pass for my baby to stay here.

She's currently holding visit pass from ICA

Thank you for all your answers :D

I think the rules for dependents & S passes is pretty clear. It also seems you already understand them. Unless they backtrack on the rules, you are pretty much out of luck unless one of you manages to convert your S pass into an EP. Good luck with that.

Looks like it might be possible to apply for a student pass once they are accepted into a “childcare centre” licensed by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).

Due to COVID travel restrictions, it maybe possible to keep extending the SVP of your baby but once flights are more common then you will have to fly back with your baby to your home country.

Maybe a last resort, if all other options are exhausted… and if they get PR, problem solved
