PR application for myself or to include my family?

Hi there, appreciate any advice on the following.

I am a 41 yrs old and have a wife, two four yr old daughters and a soon to be born son. My wife would like to move back to Perth in 2 - 3 yrs time whilst i would like to keep a base for my career here in Singapore as i am too young to retire and my network is all in SEA. I am currently employed by a US company and lead the APAC region with a team of 15. My salary is high (mostly commission and equity).

I am planning on transitioning out of my corporate role in 2 yrs and will set up my own advisory/consulting firm and would like to have PR before then.

Given all of the above, i am wondering what the pros/cons are to apply for a PR just for myself Vs for the whole family. Will the MoM look poorly on me for not including the family as it will signal a lack of intent in making SG home (which is obviously accurate)?

I think it would send up a huge red flag and maybe a red flare as well. This all the more so if you know you have a son in the oven and the existing NS issue for PRs. You are going to be like a salmon swimming upstream.

Assuming that you do apply for your whole family, the fact that your family is likely to not be staying in Singapore is not going to look very good to whoever is assessing your application.

That apart, age could be a factor. 40 seems to be the cut off and you'll be lucky to be approved above that age.

And lastly race - there's that consideration too.
