Food caterers also battered by Covid19

Post by abbby » Mon, 12 Jul 2021 11:11 am

They are used to catering to large scale events, seminars and weddings but since all these are gone or scaled down, it means they are now only serving family sets and meals in much smaller portions. Which most F&Bs are doing as well.. Kind of a tough situation.

I mean, for such small scale, i wouldn't be ordering from a food caterer and paying $20-40 on transportation.

Catering is mostly not needed for 8 guests which is the max allowed during the pandemic.

Exactly, on such a small scale, most would prefer to order from the larger delivery services like Grab. More options, cheaper delivery fees (if the order is large enough the delivery fee is waived), and faster delivery time.

Where do you think workers in the dormitory got their food from during last year’s lockdown.

3x meals a day, for umpteen weeks, for a few hundred thousand confined workers.
