So many scammers

Post by abbby » Sat, 10 Jul 2021 4:46 pm

Reading reading reports of an increasing number of scammers trying to scam people From investment scams to online dating scams..

Recently, I was selling items on gumtree and someone messaged me and later insisted I used DHL to deliver those items and gave me a link to use his voucher code, that's where the alarm bells rang..I ignored him and deleted the chat.

I think scammers should be severely dealt with by the law.

I get so many calls about my phone and bank accounts in Chinese and English. Mostly it will be automated but sometimes there's a real person. The English speaking scammers would have a very American sounding name like "John Smith" but sounding very South Asian. They would first tell me that my account will have some problems but would not call me by my name (which they do not know as they called random sg numbers). Once I start to ask details of the issue, they would hang up.

I always ask who they are looking for….

Mentioned before, if someone can figure out how I can get a premium rate line and divert these buggers to it so I can make money, I will be happy.
