Changing Jobs before applying for EP

Post by milkt » Mon, 05 Jul 2021 1:45 pm

Hope you can give me some advise please. Has anyone changed jobs before applying for PR?
I have been EP holder for 4 years under 1 company and recently got a very good offer close to 2x of my salary in another company so I just moved recently 3 months ago to the new company. I am now looking to apply for PR approval, will that be possible? Can I give payslips from my old employer and new employer to fulfill the need of having 6 months worth of payslip?
Thanks so much for the advise.

Shouldn't be any problem, if you changed jobs seamlessly (more or less) the give them the last 6 months salary vouchers and your new letter of appointment for your new position/job.

2x your old salary is a pretty good jump. What pass were you on previously? What is your new pass.

By the way... here is my profile -

Age: 40
Race: Chinese
Nationality: Filipino
Education : BS Engineering .
Occupation: Company Director
Salary: 400K
Length of stay in SG : 5 years, 4 tax returns
Children: 2 kids

What are the chances of PR approval?

If you have documentary proof of your ethnicity, then that will go a long way to offsetting your Nationality, but whether ICA will try to lump you with Chinese or Filipino will be the question. It should be under Chinese and there you will probably be successful. If lumped into the Other category you are competing with every who is NOT CIM. I personally think your chances are pretty good.
