Hi, i am new to forum and thanks for the help in advance and went through few earlier forum threads
My wife new S pass appn was pending (Applied 11 jun) ...asked in between( degree and university verification submitted 22nd jun) and again today employer received email asking company details and quotas, salary hike justification and others to submit by 16 july. Prob is her stvp will end by 17 july.
Would like to know
- any idea how long generally would it take after submission considering reputed MNC in ad marketing?
- Can i process dp (as i am elgible ) thru my employer paralelly while S pass is pending? If not can her employer has option to withdraw s- pass application after submission ? As i want to secure atleast secure DP first...not sure how much time it would take now !! Any idea ?

Dependent Pass eligibility is dependent on S Pass and basic salary level (Proven). You cannot anyhow get an DP without an S or EP pass being approved first (DP application could be submitted by employer along with application but not advisable.

Can I apply for my Dependant’s Pass before the main pass (PEP, Employment or S Pass) application is approved?
Yes, you can.
However, we recommend waiting until after the main pass is approved. If the main pass application is rejected, your Dependant’s Pass (DP) will also be rejected, and your application fee will not be refunded.
https://www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permi ... ligibility
You can apply for a Dependant’s Pass for your family if you meet these requirements:
Hold an Employment Pass or S Pass. Means it must be approved first.
Earn a minimum fixed monthly salary of $6,000. This is based on your salary, and not based on your combined household income. Salary mean Basic Salary without O/T or Commissions
Are sponsored by an established, Singapore-registered company (usually your employer).

Hi, thanksnfor the reply. It appears there was confusion.
I am already a EP holder staying in sg for past 6 years and elgible to get dp from my employer and did in the past too.
Its my wife who is also in sg with old Spass, but cancelled recently by her ex employer and new other employer S pass application is pending.
Hence was asking while s pass application is pending, can i process dp from my employer as back up as her stvp expires by 17 jul ?
If not can her employer has option to withdraw s- pass application after submission with status pending or should wait until MOM status update?
Since it is 2 weeks left, i am indecisive which option to choose so that she can stay in sg.

If you are talking about DP for your wife, yeah, not a problem. Go ahead and apply. If the S pass is subsequently issued, the DP will be canceled or you can cancel it. Yeah, the way you initial post was written was a bit confusing.

Thanks very much. Sorry for confusion..my bad may not be clear.
Based on other few threads i was confused as few said only one application can be made, based on above its clear my employer can still apply dp for her while s pass from her employer is in progress. Its upto MOM discretionary which one to accept or reject subsequently. Am i right in understanding ? Thanks once again
