Clearly, most of the hundreds in line seem to be PRCs.
Actually I've not really seen it myself. I'm not even sure that the average PRC living here would care. At least, I don't know of any PRCs in my office or friend circle who go out of their way to show patriotism towards China.

The Sinophiles that I was referring to are Singaporeans and some Malaysians who's families have been in the Malay peninsular for at least 3 generations. They've suddenly developed a strange affinity towards China. At least what I've observed is that because China is perceived to be doing certain things well, it is generating a sense of racial superiority among this group. Mostly these things that are generating pride are building infrastructure, a booming economy with a large number of rich people and of course the ultimate thing is military superiority.

I'm guessing that a large number of the people queuing up belong to this category.
Really? The photos of the queues I’ve seen going around seem to only show PRCs.
How do you spot a PRC? Teeth? Clothes? Side Eye? I can sometimes tell by their accent (esp if they are from the north) but without audible clues I'm not sure I could...
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.

I am usually able to tell from the accent and the type of clothes /grooming. However, sometimes without the audible cues, it can be hard to distinguish like you noted.

Hard to tell the nationality on the basis of some photos. This article suggests that it is indeed PRCs and senior Singaporeans.

This idiocy is like an Asian version of the US anti-vaxxer movement. Or, they are smart enough to know the best cure comes from the country that created the virus.

They "hope" the best cure comes from the country where it leaked or was released.

They "believe" that China is technologically superior to the west because the race and culture is "superior". And China is so advanced that they "detected" the virus which the ang mohs could not. The virus was already raging in the west and the stupid ang mohs didn't even know it.

^ the above is roughly the "logic" spouted by the average Sinophile that I've encountered.

The irony is, it was foreign expertise and money that helped the Wuhan lab create the virus!

Sorry, error on my part, I meant photos and videos. I’ve seen videos showing the long queues, chatter can be heard in the background, many of them are so set on getting Sinovac that they are sleeping on cardboard boxes outside the clinics.

What tipped me off was the accents and the fact that many of them were sleeping on cardboard boxes. Most locals wouldn’t be willing to camp out in those conditions.

Exactly, although it’s not exactly fair to say China created the virus.

Yes, I don't think we'll ever know for sure, but the evidence points strongly towards a US-funded lab experiment gone wrong. In case you haven't read it: https://thebulletin.org/2021/05/the-ori ... -at-wuhan/

The US embassy actually raised the alarm two years prior…

Yet more irony here is that Trump also claimed the virus was made in the lab. Most sensible people stopped taking the idea seriously after that. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

I’ve never heard of such a conspiracy, I’ll give it a read. Seems pretty far fetched though.
