A mixture of cardio and weight training, coupled with a balanced and healthy diet will put you in a caloric deficit and result in weight loss.

Hard to cut out salt, most food is rather bland without it, and when ordering outside, it’s hard to ask for no salt. Sugar on the other hand, I can do without.

Carbs in general, actually. I’ve swapped out my rice for cauliflower rice. It’s not quite the same, but nothing good comes without sacrifice.

From this article, a higher salt intake can lead to water retention, which can appear as weight gain, but is actually just water weight. To circumvent this, drink lots of water.

This article says celery juice is low in calories and can cause weight loss if drunk in place of other high calorie alternatives. But if you are not substituting it for anything, it’s unlikely to result in weight loss.

Yes, but rice is treacherous. There are studies suggesting links with high risk of diabetes (and some other diseases) with consumption of rice in SEA.

Have to agree...I think rice is always so difficult and slow to digest. Can lean meat be a replacement for rice? Trying to figure out healthier alternatives. I remember whenever I go for korean meat BBQ, I never felt stuffed and was quite easily digestible compared to eating rice which I always makes me feel bloated.

And how about basamati rice? I think it's the only rice with lesser sugar..? Not sure about the taste and texture.

The mentioned cauliflower rice is probably as close as it gets.
(White) rice is too easy to digest, so it converts well to simple sugars contributing to the problems.

Really? I’ll have to look into it.

Not a fan of the texture of basmati rice, I prefer the classic jasmine. Meat is not a substitute for rice, you can’t sub a carb for a protein and expect it to be the same.

And it’s easy to make as well. Just put cooked cauliflower into a food processor and blitz.
