Pending or Rejected ?!

Post by kozizi » Mon, 31 May 2021 12:49 pm

On the ICA Dashboard page that appears upon login, my PR application status shows as 'Pending'.
But if I navigate to PR > Enquire Application Status page, it shows as 'Rejected'.
Anyone seen such differing statuses for your PR application before ? Don't know what to make of it. :???:

Obviously the two pages are updated separately. It doesn't bode well, however as it doesn't have rejected as as default value. Pending will be the default and replaced with either approved or rejected. Sorry.

Wait for a few more days and the statuses will sync across screens. For now, take it as rejected to avoid any disappointment later.

Thanks, true - it is best to assume the worst. Strange that the pages are not synced, given the rest of the ICA website including the PR form has decent software build quality.

The outcome, assuming Reject, is not so surprising.
It's the speed of Rejection that surprises me. This was my second attempt, applied about 4+ months ago. The first application too was rejected in 4.5 months. Wonder if there is any sense at all in applying again in future, as a single mum of a girl child.
