Considering applying for PR with my spouse, as we've lived here for 4 years and we're planning to start a family. What do you think our chances are, either applying myself or together with my spouse?
Me:
- British
Caucasian
Age: 38
Monthly fixed income: $11k
Industry: software
Fluent Chinese
Changed job 2 times since moving here, been promoted twice
My Spouse:
- Chinese (PRC)
Age: 32
Unemployed since moving to Singapore
Fluent English
We've been married for more than 10 years.

Too few details.
You did not mention the following:
- Your race. There’s a CMIO quota. Are you British Caucasian? British Chinese? British Indian?
- Your wife’s nationality. “Chinese” is a bit vague. I interpret it as her race is Chinese but she could have citizenship from another country. Is she British? American? From PRC?
- Length of marriage. The longer, the better.
- Have you been in the same job for the past 4 years you’ve been here?
- Has your wife been unemployed throughout the 4 years or she had a job before and became recently unemployed?

No one knows. Long processing time does not guarantee approval either. There are people who wait more than 2 years and still get rejected.

If the work is offshore or at home, I would probably do it until told that you cannot do it.

LOL, that's one way to put it. I don't think it's 100% chance, though it is leaps and bounds ahead of every other possible advantage.
