So far, I have been impressed with Paramount+ … lots of US programming, new and old, and it seems like they have just about every program that is aired on CBS (I read that it used to be called CBS All Access before they rebranded and rebundled). Do note that it definitely requires a VPN, if I forget to switch on my VPN it stops me, even through I go through the Apple+ interface. I read that Paramount plans to make their offerings available internationally, but so far it’s mostly in the Americas and I think they have it in Australia.

“US programming”- stuff that’s on other streaming sites or exclusive to Paramount?
Most of it appears exclusive to Paramount, the main overlaps seem to be with Prime, but I believe Prime only has a fraction of what Paramount has.

If you are a fan of US soap operas they have Young and the Restless and Bold & Beautiful… if you’ve ever watched Y&R back in the 90’s you may be surprised to see Jack Abbott, Victor Newman (and Nikki) still on there after 3 decades... what a blast from the past! LOL!

Do you know why they are known as soap operas?

Hello! We have been using Starhub for awhile and I changed to Circle.life and has been on it for about 2 years now. I heard the My Republic has a better phone plan with $17/month. Anyone has this phone plan? Is it a sim only basis and how's it compared to Starhub/Circle.life?

This should be helpful.
Thank you for this! Great overview of the different telcos.

Mal,
Back when "I" was a little kid and soap operas first hit the screen I remember two that I believe are the longest running US soaps, the earliest one I remember (primary school in the mid 50's was called Guiding Light, the other was General Hospital. The shows were associated with sponsors such as P&G's Oxydol, Duz and Ivory soaps (I remember the Ivory Snow model holding the baby on the soap box. She grew up to be a porn star who went down in history - Marilyn Chambers, Ivory Snow detergent model became a pop culture phenomenon when she gave up work as a model advertising Ivory Snow laundry detergent to star in the X-rated "Behind the Green Door" In 1972.

Looks like General Hospital is still going today on ABC, but they pulled the plug on Guiding Light…

With the direct intervention of the CEO's PA (or maybe EA) I now have Singtel TV installation scheduled for Sat AM. I think that's over a month it's been going on. One of the annoying issues was cancelling the Netlink connection with Starhub. Starhub basically make it hard to cancel anything as a way of retaining customers who hate every bit of starhub but can't deal with the aggravation of cancelling.

However it should NOT take the intervention of the CEO to get a sales team to call back for an online order that was submitted absolutely correctly (and the number of times I have had to resubmit docs it getting annoying).
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Seems like so much work just to get a response. Good for you for getting some results.

Looks like they just installed a new head of Singapore consumer business.

Thanks. I'll try to message the CEO on LinkedIn as well.
The amount of favourable resolutions I’ve achieved over the years by going directly to company CEO’s is too long to list. It is definitely the optimal approach.

Normally, even if you don’t get a personal response, you get put through to an escalation service that’s much more efficient than starting at the beginning.
