I’ll look into that. Right now I’m on a low calorie diet (around 1500 calories a day) and have boxing as my main form of exercise. I’ve heard that weights are great for burning fat and building muscle but the gym in my condo is closed for now due to COVID so I’ll have to think about exploring other options. Definitely helped me get quite lean with visible abs. But keep in mind that it is quite hardcore. It is really a complete exercise and diet regime which has you lift weights 4 days a week. If that's your thing.

Some tips based on my experience:
- you can bake your own bread or even cakes/cookies using coconut or almond flour and eggs - i can give you my own recipe It does not come any close to standard gluten bread but it is pretty much eadible
- full fat milk is good but yoghurt / kefir is better - fermentation goes in expense of milk sugars - buy kefir grains or yoghurt cultures and prepare the stuff by yourself. Add some non-sugar sweetener - I like stevia, but many people taste it bitter beyond their acceptance, blend it with a bit cocoa powder or with some strawberries (very low carbs) and you will get delicious drink. And if you have an ice cream maker ... uhmmmm
- use as much oil as you like for any cooking and frying
- fat soaking fish like salmon belly are now for you - delicious
- remember red meat is not so good so try not to abuse it.
- sauerkraut and cabbage in general could be a base of many good dishes
- take tomato pure / sauce, add sweetener (again, for me stevia works well), add salt and voilà, you have low sugar ketchup - most commercial ones are heavily sugar loaded.
- make your own mayonnaise - here at least some low sugar are available
- use cauliflower rice to substitute rice
- many nuts are also now for you without any substantial penalties (unless you are allergic)

I noticed that if I do it reasonably the weight back gain toll is actually less sever than in case of low cal diet. It generally worked reasonably but eventually I came to a conclusion that low carb/low cal diet works for me better and I could eat more, and more healthy. Also one of big findings for me was that I need a proper breakfast to boost the burning of calories, so in my case it was practically pointless to skip breakfast (what I tried earlier) - In other words, I could lose weight faster having the same dinner if I had breakfast early morning.
I think a lot depends on the individual, how the organism behaves, so just experiment with yourself and different food and routines. Recently I found out that if I have a breakfast like Wasa bread, with ham and tomato slices it is practically indifferent if I load on top of it half of the track of Japanese mayonnaise which I like very much
