I’ve been thinking about getting one to monitor my workouts and to act as a more portable phone, since there is the option to get it enabled with cellular data. I’m thinking about getting either the series 6 or the SE. Does anyone have one right now? What do you think? Thanks!

I have an Apple Watch and I think its good. You can track various activity, participate in group challenges to motivate yourself. Its also a good looking device.
A lot depends on how u use it. But for someone who wants to use it well, it is useful.
I think 6 is better than SE.

The 6 does have more features than the SE- the only differences are the blood oxygen monitor and the ECG feature. However, I’m not sure that these are features I would need. I’m mainly intending to use it for fitness. Which model do you use?

I have Apple Watch 5. I do plan to buy 7 once it’s launched. I realise that we have to accept that upgrading is a part of apple ecosystem.
So ya u can get SE if u think ECG or Oxygen levels is not an issue. I also mainly use it for fitness, participate in group challenges , heart rate etc.

I did consider waiting for the 7, but there is no indication of when it will be released and I doubt I’ll need any of the updated features. In recent years the trend seems to be upgrades on “health” features rather than fitness.

Honestly I buy with an understanding that I will upgrade every two years when it comes to Phone, Watch etc. And every 3-4 years with MacBook and IPad. It’s just how the technology is changing.
You shd buy what fits ur needs. Watch is a great product if u are motivated.

Generally that is my thought process as well, I never go more than 3 years before upgrading. I think I will go ahead with the SE.
