The winding up is against Park Hotel Management which used to own the Grand Park Hotel on Orchard. Apparently it is due to arrears of rent. Maybe the first domino falling in the Hospitality sector?

Update - with the sustained entry approval ban & extended 3 weeks of quarantine, people in hotel quarantine dropped from 16k to 4k in last 2 months, emptying out the hotels.

Doesn’t bode well for the hospitality industry. Wonder how long this is going to last…

I wonder if this means the government subsidies to those hotels will also drop in tandem? If it does, are we liable to see some 5* hotels shuttering?
