Market Rate for Room Rental

Post by anon101 » Wed, 28 Apr 2021 9:52 am

Hi all,

I understand from this forum that the market rate for whole unit rentals can be checked on the URA website (median price psf etc). However, I cannot seem to find a similar page for condo room rentals. I understand that real estate sites like . and 99.co are known to inflate the prices of their listings, so I can't use those as a benchmark. Is there a way to check the average cost of a room rental in a specific area?

Thank you!

Only unit rentals transacted are on ura website.

You can use the whole unit rental rate and use a ratio to estimate the room rate. You can use a 40:30:30 ratio for a 3-bedder and a 60:40 ratio for a 2-bedder. The bigger number corresponds to the master bedroom.
