There you go again. I read virtually every post as a moderator. I vet every new post. I've been moderating this board for 17 years so I think I've seen virtually every kind of poster. The fact that you were addressing that one post is exactly what I'm talking about. Anything that seems to disagree with your preconceived thoughts you lash out at, just like your response to me now. You come here to seek understanding and consideration. This is a forum for discussion. You need to learn that nobody is constrained here in giving an impression or their own solution, but it doesn't warrant you lashing out at them.

They are and that's where your issue is from, he voiced out the other side of the coin and you took issue with it.

anyways...I have not found any solution to this specific query of mine so far ...and I need one fast...already waited for long... I guess I should seek a solution elsewhere...

I shall take your advice...I shall not respond on this topic on anybody's responses...till I see any post giving me some genuine and useful advice. :)

Well SMS.....my response was for the last member who wrote a response...and not for others !...Hence I have to clear the air.
my query was very clear. I wanted a solution to my problem...instead you find this member writing something from which I do not get any solution !.....instead this member speaks about my mental condition!

The problem that I am in...it is genuine!...it is happening !..I come here to seek understanding and consideration!...not snide and sarcastic comments from members who only think that if a certain problem does not happen to them then it should not happen to others....and if it happens to others then surely they are mentally deranged !!....what kind of thinking is that??...why cant people look at both sides of the coin ??....
There is nothing snide or sarcastic about what I have written. I speak as someone who knows what I'm talking about - let's just leave it there.I don't know you from Adam so those sentences that I quoted from your posts are the only things that I have to go on and they are mightily strange .

If it's genuine stalking , why not make a police report for whatever it's worth . I highly doubt that your neighbour is some genius in the cloak and dagger department who can hide away his methods of surveillance once someone looks into it.

If it's lack of insight , then it is still a genuine issue and only a close friend or family member can help. People can be high functioning even with a medical issue - therefore your previous posts do not really discount an underlying problem.
It's just advice.I have no intention of being some keyboard warrior here .Do take care .This is my last post in this thread :)

There's lot more to this problem than what I have written and what you have interpreted and suggesting...or hinting at an underlying problem...in which case my relative of mine who was living with me for a short while and left also experienced the same problem as long as she was living here...Hence I guess you may suggest that she too should have an underlying problem? :-k

I did not want to make my post so lengthy and hence avoided a lot of details...especially what my relative experienced ...and how all this started with the neighbour having a tiff with me wife etc. culminating to this situation.......anyways ..cannot explain to someone who keeps harping at one point only. :)

If you are really convinced about this, why not hire a private investigator and confirm it once an for all?

If it were me, I would just ignore it and occupy myself with other things, stay busy. You know the old saying, an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Because whether it is happening or not — what matters to me is my own enjoyment of life and I’m not about to let external things dictate that for me.

You need to understand that we have an incredibly poor grasp of reality at the best of times and you are at risk of losing yours. Please seek help. This is absolutely no indictment on you or your character, brain chemistry is incredible fragile.

I say this as someone who has suffered temporary amnesia - it was awful. I simply forgot why I was in India and it took all day to put together the threads in my head. If it had some on slowly I may not have realised it (I woke up in the morning knew something was wrong - my recent memory that morning consisted of scenes with no threads between the discreet scenes as normal - I can still feel that black dog sitting at the back of my head and have made arrangements with my wife as to what to do should it become an issue again and I suffer permanent or long term amnesia). Fortunately I didn't become belligerent or angry, just befuddled and I did remember I had a wife etc and knew how to operate a phone etc.

Bak-Wah, you came here asking for opinions. What you are getting are various opinions of which all are plausible, whether you agree with them or not. No use in getting upset and lashing out at the poster as there is absolutely nothing inherently wrong with their post. You don't agree with them, no issue, don't bother to answer. But just to give you an example, I'm taking care of my 3rd Dementia case over the past 22 years. First was my FiL who lived with me until his passing. Constantly complaining that his memory was failing and it was, but he had Alzheimer's and ultimately died of a stroke. Meanwhile the MiL, who had dementia eventually ended up bed ridden and died of old age at the age of 91 Sept of 2020. It runs in my wife's family. My wife had been diagnosed with dementia as well, and while she still knows who I am, she's on a downhill slide that cannot be stopped. She constantly accuses somebody of coming in a stealing/hiding her phone (which she keep nose in most of her waking hours) but if you say something about it she goes straight into denial mode even as everybody watches it all day long. People with dementia don't know they have it and even when diagnosed, they are usually in a denial state. It's frustrating as hell for the caregiver, especially if it a spouse. I know! My wife is 75. But I know somebody who is only 40 and has been diagnosed with it. It can impact anybody.

People here are trying to give you solutions so you have a roadmap that you can follow, showing different paths that might have to eventually be taken. Obviously nobody want to think about the worst case scenario, but if everybody tells you what you want to hear, you may never find a solution, or they might be right. If they are right, great.
Dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders can take a great toll on families, my late grandmother had dementia and it was incredibly heartbreaking to watch her slowly forget all of us one by one. Reading BK’s posts, I wonder if schizophrenia is a possibility. I hate to “diagnose” others, so I won’t, but I will say that the situation that BK is describing, where most of the evidence is anecdotal opens the account up to perceptual distortion.

What I find myself a little concerned with is how your neighbor can sense where you are when he lives above you… I can imagine him being able to follow your movements if he lived below you and could hear your footsteps above, but from above I’m not so sure.

Speaking of neurological issues, not sure if this counts - but when I first moved to Singapore, it was my first time outside of North America. I remember during the first 6 months or so, I would get this flash sensation… maybe once or twice a month, felt like being disoriented for a split second. Just something about being on the other side of the planet. I haven’t had that sensation since, but it was weird at the time.

I always struggle with working out east or west when I am north of the Equator.

That’s interesting. I have not experienced that before, whether in Indonesia, Australia or New Zealand - my sense of direction is unaffected.

However, unlike most people, I always get worse jet lag when I go East. For most, it’s the opposite. For example, if I fly via Frankfurt to the US, jet lag is much less than via Tokyo over the Pacific.

One time I took the direct Singapore-NYC flight that goes over the North Pole… had zero jet lag. But then again, it was SQ business class and I slept for a full 12 hours on the flight. That was the best flight ever!

What do you mean by flash? Like a hot flash? Or like deja-vu?
