What about utilizing captcha in this forum; to reduce spam.

We have been using Captcha all this while. If not the spam will be 10x more

I'm not sure what you mean, I just created a new amount and there was no captcha.
I've made the suggestion several times before. The spam on this forum is unbelievable.
Mind you I'm having real trouble even writing this post since the site is barely useable on mobile.

Probably set up to only require it if coming from certain countries known for spamming possibly using IANA via RIRs. Countries like IN, VN, PK, certain African Nations. I'm not an IT tech so can't really say what setup they are using.

Phpbb CAPTCHA is not effective.

You mean you've developed a custom registration form with no captcha?
Surely the phpbb captcha is more effective than none at all.
