I'm an experienced software engineer, and I've started applying for jobs in Singapore this month. I've always wanted to live in Singapore; it's a terrible time to apply, but I've already waited a year and COVID is not going away.
I've noticed that the vast majority of companies don't respond, even when I directly message recruiters or directors. The few that do respond ask if I require work sponsorship; then they usually reject me.
So far I've only gotten one interview, which I screwed up.
Are there any Americans who've gotten employment passes in Singapore this year?

There is not a lot of S/W devel done here actually.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or
http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

What I wrote to another poster with enquires about employment is also applicable to you... unfortunately, that's reality.

I am interested as well. I'm an engineering director based in the US, and would like to relo to Singapore. I've also heard that they recently released a new visa for high earning tech workers, and I was curious if anyone had any personal experience with that, or more info than what's on the news.

That sets a very high bar. I wonder how many passes will be issued under this scheme.

If you are looking for a developer job, you'll almost certainly luck out. Maybe architect with domain knowledge.... You might have some chance.

I heard that there were limited passes but that bar seems high enough that I doubt the limit matters. Will apply after some more due diligence. My concern is on the company's employment restrictions. I've moved between large tech like Amazon/Google but also smaller pre-IPO companies.
