Hi All,
I am from India and working in Singapore. My EP is valid till 10th March and my STVP until 9th April. I am in the middle of changing jobs but my new employer can only apply for my EP on 18th March. This means that I have only 3 weeks to get my EP (IPA) and seems like a bit of a touch and go situation. Do you think I can get a STVP extension of 14 days? what would be the best ground for it to request MOM or ICA ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: STVP extension EP cancelled
When your employer submits a new application for EP, they should be able to extend your stay at the same time.
Back when I was in this situation they extended my visit pass by 2 months each time a new EP application was submitted - but that was over two decades ago (when EP took longer).

Hi, would like to check if you got your extension when your EP is pending for approval? Covid is getting serious in India and still we can see there’s a flight going back to India. Wonder if there’s any chance for SG gov to extend the stvp due to these reasons. My Stvp expiring on 15 May. Thanks.

I suggest you buy a ticket. Otherwise, maybe free room & board courtesy of the Singapore Police for overstaying. Better safe than sorry, but then again, if you gamble & lose, then you will get deported after release and sent home and banned from ever returning to SG.
