Been a lurker here for quite a while, just wanted to share my experience.
I've been working in Sg under an EP since 2013, job-hopped 4 times going 5th now (and took about 9 months off between 2016-2017 before coming back to Sg under EP again). BA with about 10 years experience.
Only time I've experienced long waiting period was during my first application (Came over before MyCareersFuture started in 2014/2015?). My subsequent job-hops usually took 7-12 working days from EP application to EP approval. I consider myself extremely lucky in that aspect.
Will be jumping into another role now, EP applied 03/05/2021, from construction & engineering MNC firm to local green start-up. This time I am a bit more anxious since I've had friends who had their EP approvals taking an extra 2-3 weeks. Will keep you all updated. Good luck on the applications to all.
My work history and role (EP approval based on when the company HR applied and emailed me my IPA):
2013-2015 - Regional Bank (BA & Projects) - 14 working days approval
2015-2016 - MNC FMCG (PMO) - 12 working days approval
2017-2019 - MNC Hospitality (BA) - 7 working days approval
2019-2019 (3 months stint) - Local Hospitality (BA) - 9 working days approval
2019-2021 - MNC Construction & Engineering (BA) - 7 working days approval
2021-?? - Local Green Start-Up (BA/BD) - Pending

Hi, did the HR tell you if it's extra documentation from the employer side or extra documentation to verify your credentials?
My application was also submitted on 26th of March and until now it's still pending although the HR has told me that MOM has not reached out to them yet.

HR got back today that MOM asked for extra documents/information from the employer and the application is under further review required
It's from the employer side, nothing related to my as such

No update still. Have asked employer if any query from MOM but no response from them either.

Hey, was there any update to your application?
abhiom wrote: ↑Mon, 26 Apr 2021 10:51 am
Mine submitted on 12 Mar and still pending.
I have been working in SG since more than 10 years and changing jobs with basic salary of 200k+. This long wait period is both surprising and killing.

I guess that's good news since nothing is wrong with the candidates profile. I hope it gets cleared soon. All the best!

Hey guys, just to update everyone. My EP just got approved today.
Date applied: 26th March.
Date approved : 7th May.
So it took a full 6 weeks. There was no communication from MoM to my employer for the full 6 week period. It just is taking that much time for approvals. So for those who are waiting, hang in there and don't worry.

Great to hear. Congrats.
For me, 8 weeks now and still in Pending status without any communication from MoM. Anyone else got approval after such a long period of radio silence?

I would like to check how often the employer can follow up with MOM on EP that is pending for weeks. My employer has requested MOM to expedite the process last week and there is no change in the status yet. When can they follow up with MOM?
I am on STVP with three weeks left, so I am worried every single day.
Timeline is as follows:
15th Mar - EP submitted
7th Apr - MOM requested additional documents (Degree verification and latest tax assessment)
19th Apr - Requested documents submitted
3rd May - Agency called MOM and request to expedite
Cyber security with 13 years of experience and 4 years in Singapore.
It is a great forum and I am grateful to the community. Thanks!

Employer asking MOM to expedite is only a REQUEST, but whether MOM needs to follow that and adhere is their own choice and they will do on priority, backlog etc

And JayinSG, can you please keep all your prose in a single thread seeing the topic is the same. Otherwise, I'll start locking threads as it's too hard to see what others have said each time you have verbal diarrhea.

Any query from MoM in the interim since application? Are you also in SG already?
