I'm having trouble navigating all the options, and hoping for some help from the forum. I am a US expat here on EP for past 10 years. I will be marrying a SG citizen in June. I am also leaving my job, so will no longer have an EP as of Aug. I know I will need an LTVP, but unsure about the process or whether I should be concerned about approval. We've been together for just over 2 years now. Specifics for our case (never sure when these things factor into some approval formula somewhere):
Me-
citizenship: USA
job: teacher
length of stay in SG: 10 years in SG, 9 years paying SG taxes.
Salary: $5000/month
Never married, no children
age: 41
ethnicity: Caucasian
Fiance
SG Citizen
ethnicity: Chinese
job: IT
currently pays into CPF & has multiple years of doing so.
Salary is above 8000/month
Never married, no children
age: 45
Just left one job for a new position, no time gap in pay though. Is this new job a problem?
Do we need to do PMLA? It seems like my EP makes that unnecessary, but is it helpful? We were planning to marry on my EP and then convert to LTVP when necessary, but now will be just 1-2 months after wedding. Is that a problem? I've heard approval can take up to 6 months, so worried about the best way to move forward in our current timeline. Any advice appreciated

Re: LTVP process for SG-NR couple (current EP)
Feel free to read my topic about PMLA to LTVP.
PMLA takes about 4 to 6 weeks to be approved. With the PMLA, the LTVP processing time is reduced to 6 to 8 weeks.
Do you really want to gamble on waiting 6 months on the LTVP outcome when you could have applied for the PMLA in the first place to shorten the processing time?
I had a friend who applied for PMLA one day before the wedding and LTVP one day after the wedding. The PMLA was rejected but LTVP approved.

Re: LTVP process for SG-NR couple (current EP)
Thanks, I had actually found your thread earlier. It's good information, I was just hoping to find some info on whether my current EP or many years in SG made any difference in the process at all. And trying to streamline things, hoping it would be as efficient as possible by seamlessly switching from one visa to another. Wishful thinking, I guess. Thanks
