Sharing my profile as I have benefited from this forum.

Pr application date : 22.2.21
Pr approval date : 04.01.22 (Almost 11 month of waiting)
Age : 31
Nationality: Malaysian Chinese Female
Education: Degree in Public Uni in Malaysia (top 3)
Occupation: T.A. Executive
Salary : 48,000 per annum exc bonus
Pass: Employment Pass
Years in Singapore: 1.2 years

Total work experience: Applied after 7th month payslip because of salary increment in a new company. By the time of application, I had 1.2 years of work experience in SG.

While waiting for pr to be approved, I was married to an SC. Then, supplemented a marriage certificate, spouse’s educational cert, spouse’s letter of employment and spouse’s id.

Also, updated ICA on change of new passport and salary increment with annual salary totalling to 60k per annum exc bonus with change of title to Manager.

In addition to that, I met the mp to write a letter after 10th month of waiting. Also, I brought term life insurance. Not sure it helps.

Thank you.
Congrats, may I ask you brought term life insurance and did you inform ICA? Just curious how did they know we brought the life insurance during our PR application.

Insurance has no impact on the application.

Profile :- approaching middle age...from the West...
Pass :- EP then LTVP + LOC
Salary:- 150k+/year in practice but 59k/year using the “basic” definition. Changed employer whilst pending, which change it to 115k/year “basic”.
Industry:- Aviation
In Singapore :- 4 years at time of application
Education :- Masters

Applied via PTS initially, then after 11 months (during which I got married) I was invited to switch to Spouse-Sponsored scheme. Approved in-principal 1 month later.
[Had previously applied via PTS some years prior as well and that got rejected after 5 or 6 months].

The invitation to switch tracks came via email - and went into my junk folder! #-o So remember to check it before emptying!
Sponsored by SC Spouse? How long are you married?

I’ve never heard of people being invited to switch from PTS to spouse sponsorship before in the midst of PR application. Seniors of this forum, is this common?

Heard of this before. Many a times advised even during submission, in those days of in person submission of application.

We all know family ties route via SC/PR is easier than PTS route.

Not that common, but not unheard of. Usually happens when qualified for both but safer to apply for Family Ties. That way, no matter what happens re: REP renewal, as long as you came in under Family Ties should not be much of an issue (although it could theoretically). I don't mention it because is it arbitrary at best. It's not a right or a given.

In general low chance. But since you are a data scientist and also have local education - it is worth a try. If rejected, apply after 5 years of working in SG.

Did you serve any MOE Tuition bond?

Thank you - I started working in SG from Oct 2016, so completed 5 years of working already. No MoE tuition bond - I paid in full.

Helping with a data point. I know how anxious it can be. Hope it's useful. the "submit documents" option dissapeared 1 week before PR approved

Applied: Mid Aug 2020
Approved: few days ago
Age: 44
Race: Chinese (Male)
Nationality: Malaysian
Length of stay in SG: 4+ (and also another few years 10 years ago, former PR, which lapsed when i was based outside Singapore)
Sector/Salary: Banking/very high
Education/Prof Qualification: Masters
Other info: Divorced recently (ex wife not in Sing, no kids),, Applied by own, i own private property in Sing
Wow, this was a super long wait. Just goes to show there’s no way to tell when you will get approved, some wait just a couple weeks, others nearly 2 years. Congrats to you!
