Work Permit renewal while being pregnant

Post by Fat » Mon, 01 Mar 2021 4:27 pm

Hi All,

I just come back to Singapore last few weeks after a long WFH. Purpose is just to renew my work permit which will be expired on May and once my Work permit renew I will back to home town to continue WFH.

I just get to know that I'm Pregnant. Any idea is there any issue on my work permit renewal?

Thank you for your sharing!

As long as you are NOT on a WP work pass it shouldn't be an issue with MOM. Your employer may be another story but we cannot make judgement here.

You were supposed to be working from home. See what happens when you mix business with pleasure? :-k [-X  my bad!

Yeah cannot. What will you do? Try to think of this as a blessing.

One of the T&C is:

"Not get pregnant or deliver a child in Singapore during the validity of their Work Permit unless they are already married to a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with the approval of MOM. This applies even after their Work Permit is expired, cancelled or revoked."

You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
