Seeking help regarding S Pass and STVP

Post by danbam » Wed, 24 Feb 2021 9:34 pm

Hello, currently I'm employed at Company A. They are threatening me to cancel my S pass as I am looking for other opportunities. I got a offer letter from company B which commences on April. However I'm afraid that my S pass will get cancelled without prior notice and I would not be able to stay in Singapore beyond the 30 days given for the STVP before the commencement of my job at company B on April. Is it possible to extend beyond the 30 days given for the STVP? Anyone who faced similar situation please let me know your experience. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Possibly. It's a singular event. You will just have to go ask them as it's not an automatic thing. How long were you with Company A?

You should get Company B to apply S Pass for you and get it approved. The new IPA will have a validity of 2 months (?). Once Company A cancel your S Pass, the Company B can proceed with application of issuance of new card.

The new IPA will give you a stay in SG, I believe.
