I believe your organization has to apply for it if you are considered a front-liner. (I'm in the RC {PA}) so they applied for me and I got an sms invitation with a personalized link to register and get an early jab. BBCDoc will probably be registered under the same system. As of yet, my wife hasn't received the mailed invitation (she's older than I am by a year). But as noted, if you haven't received a letter yet (if over 70) just wait, do not try contacting them. I suppose at some point when the over 70's get near the deadline and still haven't received the letter there will be further instructions on what to do. Then it will start all over with the next group, the 60 to 69 year olds.
I've just passed 48 hours since my jab. Still nothing out of the ordinary to report. Cakewalk.

Great...it's probably just like any other flu jab.

This article https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/ ... r-over-70s in the ST has a bit of a timeline for the letters and vaccinations for the over 70s (letters by first week of March) and 60-69 year olds (letters from mid-March). I guess they'll see how that goes before announcing the next phases.

Moderna has higher incidence of side effects compared to Pfizer, even though they are very similar in how they work. It's partly because each injection is a bigger dose compared to the Pfizer regimen.malcontent wrote: ↑Mon, 22 Feb 2021 8:03 pmBTW, I checked with my dad this morning and surprisingly the VA is giving Moderna not Pfizer... the second dose is going to be 28 days after the first.
I told my dad that Moderna is the high tech stuff, cutting edge... to which my mom replied... maybe it will make him younger!

This is the first flu shot I've ever had in my 73 years of walking all around on the dirtball floating through space.
