IM NOT SO CLEAR, please help PR Permanent resident chances.

Post by sriramshivaraj » Tue, 16 Feb 2021 6:03 pm

Hi greetings,
Iam 28 this year Indian national
Working here in sg for 6 years only with LTVP extending throughout.

My wife is a singapore citizen and both my two children of age 2 and newborn are singapore citizens .
We lived together for 10+ years overseas . we got married outside after which we came to sg and registered our overseas marriage at MOM .

My qualification is BA (hons) in art and comminication from Birmingham .
At begining I didnt really search for a proper job
I just continued with in hotel line with annual income of 30k as I had to start immediately due to family situation .
My wife (working with annual income of 45k) is my sponser for my PR application which we applied in early 2019 . Its been two years already and PR application is still processing .
{Our background is very poor since my singaporen wife is literally like an orphan as her parents doesnt bother at all (no where in the world that grand parents doesnt want to visit to see grand children atleast but here ). We are living in a rental flat for all these years with mostly hard times. } just a pinch of info on my family bg .
I could able to upgrade myself only after I get PR . I Can pursue my higher education here in sg with PR quota which is under subsidy and get better offer to support my family If not I got to have lot of money for higher eduacation and easy buy a house /condo too insted of rental room .

Any suggestions please
1. Why my PR is taking so long , somehow 2 years?
2.why will it get rejected ?

Sorry for your situation.

But how will you upgrade after PR ? How will PR help for upgrade?

LTVP should be able to get you a job without any visa issues.

Hi thanks for reply, 85% of the employer require only singaporean and PR to apply. Ltvp still need a sponsership to be employed by means of LOC letter of conscent from MOE . And even cannot own independend bank account without the local spouse sponser and unfit for bank loans and commercial insurances and cannot be an applicant for hdb but as an occupant ..lots of other official complications are still intact..

We are speaking only about upgrading yourself i think. Not other benefits.
Getting LOC approved from ICA/MOM is very easy compared to getting an employment pass. Sorry to say this, but true.
You surely can have your own account on LTVP as I have friends who have their own bank accounts.

Which bank told you that? My husband is a LTVP holder and he only needed to bring his passport & LTVP card to open his own DBS account 2 years ago.

It sounds to me like a marriage of convenience and basically lazy. He still has a 15% chance of finding a different job (assuming his 85% actually came from somewhere besides grabbed from the ozone). That means if he actually approached 100 employers he would have in all probability at least 15 job offers. Believe me, employers welcome LoC employees as they do not subtract from any other quotas, so that doesn't hold any water at all.

OP - you need to get this sorted out. There is no guarantee an LTVP will be issued in the future.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

TS graduated from Birmingham with a degree involving communication?

The way he writes probably raised a lot of flags with the ICA...I graduated from Birmingham too...

BA(HONS)communication design in digital media. Nothing to do with shakesphere grammer here.
Intelligence of ICA is like CIA so you cant just playaround with fake degree .

The chances of PR approval is higher for you since you are the spouse of an SC with SC children. If you are rejected now, just apply again. As other people said, try LTVP first because this is a faster way to get settled in Singapore.

+1. See if you can get it after a couple of years if it is incase rejected. Also see if the sponsors salary/career can be increased a bit more.

(And seems like you are an antivaxxer BBCdoc)
I

I attended the University of Birmingham, got my B.Sc degree there.

I was under the impression your degree in communication was along the lines of language, rather than design (and nobody uses Shakespearean grammar routinely anymore).

As for me being an anti-vaxxer, you are quite far from the truth. More on the position of setting expectations correctly. People should not expect the vaccine to be a complete cure, but rather must understand how it plays a role in effective public health strategies to reduce disease.

OP may be running into a background check issue. A friend of mine who did his NS in SOC told me how well they check backgrounds.... every connection and every conversation online is there.
