CPF Clearance for Ex Singapore PR

Post by dpk001 » Tue, 16 Feb 2021 12:27 pm

I'm an ex-Singapore PR who lost PR as I was outside Singapore at the time of renewal of REP 9 years back. I came back to Singapore a few years back on EP and applied for PR twice before getting approval a few weeks back. Even though I was out for more than 10 years, I did not withdraw the CPF as my intention was to come back to Singapore as soon as I could. As part of the completion formalities, I need a letter from CPF Board stating that I've not withdrawn CPF. I went to the CPF Board for the letter and they informed me that it might take up to 1 month for the letter which falls beyond my IPA date. Could anyone who has gone through the process help understand the realistic timelines so that I can request ICA for an extension of the IPA?

you can request statments for the last XX years - that works as well - typically they can print them on the spot at the CPF main branch
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools

You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

He will need a singpass with his NRIC for access to CPF portal which may not be there as he is now on EP (FIN)

Good to hear that the CPF sent you the letter of clearance in 4 days. I am in the exact same position with my request made early this week right after the CNY holidays. I am waiting for the letter now, hopefully it will arrive soon.

I just got the same situation, i was PR but renounced when i was 5 years old (33 yearsa ago). Never had any CPF account I believe (my dad passed away so hard to cross check with).

My formalities failed and ICA requested me to get the CPF clearance letter. May I check with forumer who had similar situation. Do you walk in to CFA office? or can i just use the "write to us" function on CPF website to request for this? Thanks !
