Not sure about the button missing timing, but in general the ICA seems to update it's scheduled jobs at midnight. For instance, the appointment booking generally gets refreshed at that time. That's when canceled appointments are updated and become available.
I believe it's unintentional, and has more to do with the way the system works.
That's what I just stated. By the way, schedules such as these are quite intentional. Also, IT teams don't decide schedules - those come from "business" users.

Really! I've always thought it was just programmed into the software.

Configured (not coded). By IT. Schedules decided by business users, not the IT guys themselves.

That's certainly a revelation, I guess mentally I'm still living in the early days of the Internet.

For your sanity, just check the application status once a month.

Only when the button disappears, then feel free to check once a day or once a week.
Indeed keep telling myself this, but can’t help it. Will certainly try!
Your answer may come soon, but until then don't stress yourself out. Best of luck.
Apologies for the late reply, just saw this now. Thanks for the well wishes!

Fortunately my submit upload button has finally disappeared yesterday, indeed after 12mn. Hoping for the best!

Hello Members,

I want to get your thoughts:
Profile
Nationality: Indian
Age: 41 (During PR submission)
Marital status: Married
Education: BE MBA from Indian University.
Length of stay: 12+ Years
Work: Infosec Engineer
Salary: 150K with Bonus & Shares 210K
Date of PR submission: Jan 2022
Kids: 2 Boys (Studying in a local school, on DP)

Additional Documents (Kid's bonafide letter from School, My last 6 months Payslip) were requested on Oct 2022 through email, but we have never received an email from ICA. Again there was a reminder physical letter from in Dec 2022 referring to an email dated Oct 2022. We submitted the requested documents sometime within the cut-off time.

March 10th, 2023 - The upload button is missing.

Sadly, I was able to submit a new PR application since our upload button is missing. I assume it is a high chance of rejection based on other updates from members.

Request someone to update what is the probability that we were able to submit a new PR application after the upload button is missing.

Why in the hell would you throw a spanner in the machinery before you even had an outcome of the previous application? They just might throw out both applications due to you having you head up a very dark tunnel. The upload button just means that a decision is probably going to be announced shortly (e.g. maybe two or three weeks and no more documents are either wanted or required). Whether approved or rejected you wont know until that time when you receive notice. The button always disappears just before a decision is made - Either Yea or Nay.

IF you try to submit a new application before the old one has been determined is like jumping out of the pot into the fire. It's also telling ICA that letting you stay here is a mistake as you cannot follow instructions. If you wait until you get the results of the previous application it may well be approved. If rejected, anecdotally speaking you should wait at least two years from the date of the rejection notice.

What you haven't told us is how many times you have applied and been rejected previously. If none then don't deliberately rock the boat now.

Hi @sundaymorningstaple,

There is a myth in this forum when your upload button is missing, and if it allows you to submit a new PR application then high chances of rejection. It was just a question to confirm and to learn about other experiences. I am not mindless to apply new application while waiting for 14 months.

BTW, this is our 5 application, previous rejection was 2 years ago, sometime in 2019.

If it is a myth, why to follow that? Just waiting for 1-2 weeks will get you the actual result through proper channels?

As expected, our application is rejected today.

Probability of rejection 100%. If you don't listen to those who have come before you, what do you expect.

Your wife's race is not very clear - is she in the other's category? I think your chances are very low - race is the main issue.
