Re: Covid19 vaccination
I doubt it’ll be so soon. At the rate of around 5000 vaccinations a day that the government is currently going at, it’ll take well over a year before we vaccinate the entire population. Sounds like we’ve still got a long way to go.

Re: Covid19 vaccination
According to the government, by 21Q3 everyone should be offered a vaccine, so I'm thinking september-october to wrap up the majority of the population.
I believe field site capacity is technically 80,000 innoculations/day - however, vaccines are in short supply, so, yeah, quite a wait.

Re: Covid19 vaccination
The only vaccine currently in Singapore and HSA approved for use is the one from Pfizer. Moderna is also HSA approved but not yet here so all the initial inoculations will be with the Pfizer version.
Remember one thing, Pfizer makes the pill that can raise the dead, so they should be able to make a vaccine to keep you alive.

Here in Texas, they allowed 65 and older into group 1b. I just got my second shot. In two weeks, I'm ready to go to a restaurant!

Humanity is in trouble. We keep messing around with biochemical none sense that when it gets into the wrong hands it becomes our destruction. COVID-19 is the perfect example of that. A bunch of supposed intellects were messing around with it- got out of control- now here we are. It’s the world’s way of cleansing. COVID-19 is the bleach. But I hope the vaccine will be a way forward

Conjecture. Much as I am suspicious of any lab leakage, I’d like to see proof of such claims.glionameghan wrote:Humanity is in trouble. There’s far more evidence of humans dicking about invading forests/jungles and eating stuff that we shouldn’t need to eat, as the cause of pathogens invading new hosts.
TBH, if this is mother nature’s response towards humans as a toxic species, I hope it works faster to eliminate those too dumb to protect themselves and their loved ones through basic practice.

Covid19 vaccination
Interesting info on post-COVId symptoms in Bulgaria. Further data showing COVID is not something you want to be infected with. Singapore TTSH has also published findings amongst some asymptomatic foreign workers. Asymptomatic and hospitalised patients all affected (to different degrees):
https://m.novinite.com/articles/207935/ ... d+Syndrome
“Dr. Alexieva stressed that post-covid syndrome is associated with many different symptoms, and this is also very worrying.
"It affects the human body from head to toe. The patients complain of headache, hair loss, difficulty moving, inability to perform your previous duties, dizziness, impaired concentration, forgetfulness, brain fog, impaired hearing, palpitations, hypertension, cholesterol spike, sugar, metabolic disorders, problems with all other organs - pain in muscles and legs and back.
There are also cases of patients with a clinical picture of acute myocardial infarction," the medic explained. She also said that medical professionals do not know how to treat these patients because this type of infarction is different from other heart attacks.”
Would be interesting to see if this ties in with different variants.

A good article about vaccination
https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2 ... Lh5G8JEwy6
Cliffs:
People can get reinfected, antibodies from natural COVID-19 infection do not always offer protection.
Infection after vaccination is possible (just like ‘flu vaccine). However, does not seem to make people as sick.
***in relation to earlier post about post-COVID symptoms manifesting after being vaccinated - not enough data to support any clear guidance on risk***

Re: Covid19 vaccination
Here is an interesting article from the New York Times.
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/01/brie ... olice.html?
Basically, it says that if you got Moderna or Pfizer with 95% efficacy, then if you're in the 95% where it worked, you're not going to get any kind of Covid infection, asymptomatic or otherwise.
If you're in the 5 percent, you may indeed contract Covid but as BBCDoc noted, either asymptomatic or a much milder case.
Re: Covid19 vaccination
Thanks BBC for the useful input as usual.
I've heard that some men are suffering erectile dysfunction as a result of Covid-19 so I'd really rather not get it.

Re: Covid19 vaccination
Don't forget, Pfizer also makes the little blue pill that will raise the dead, so your covered if you are receiving the current vaccine being offered here.

I think it the ED issue is not fixable with Viag. Apparently a blood disease issue.
Some of my older friends around SMS age report that V doesn't work after awhile anyways.
Edit: some old actor is known for saying "you don't need V if you're with the right woman"
