Hi looking for advice. Im thinking of reapplying PR again for the 3rd time but now together with my newborn kid.

previous rejection was 2019

race: filipino
just married to Malaysian SPR this year
job: technical officer for railway at stat board
length of stay: 8yrs working at same company
gender: female
age:31
salary: 50k pa

or should i just wait for my husband to get his citizenship? because he will apply this July, the reason i want to apply is for my newborn kid.

thanks

Chances for PR via sponsorship get better if you apply 2 years after marriage or after you have kid.

Surely better after 2 years of marriage or after a kid. But, you should marry and not relate it to PR application?

You just had a rejection less than 5 months ago and hence request it to give it sometime and then apply. What is the rush?

Yes. unless you don't mind subsequent rejections as well. Generally speaking, if you jump the gun on the anecdotal 24 months, (we talking about data over a loooong period of time (I've been on this board since 2004/5) if you follow the ICA website is does list after 6 months you can apply. However it does NOT suggest that you will be successful and while you might be in neuro, unless your are a neuro surgeon it's not likely to happen (as you have already found out).

ICA requirements, as listed, are for the application to be accepted, not approved, as is all the government applications. They only list the requirement to apply. They never tell you what it would take to be approved before you apply as they don't need tailor-made applications. They get far too many already from the Subcontinent. The generally accepted timings are usually if on an EP the earliest would be after your EP was renewed the first time (either 24 or 36 months), If recently married and you are the spouse wanting PR (partner being already PR or SGC). To apply under the Family Ties Scheme again, after 24 months of marriage and producing a child (used to say and/or). Less than 24 months, better have a child produced as otherwise, ICA has tendency to think a marriage of convenience (hence the reason to have a child). This especially if one hasn't been in a long term relationship with the spouse prior to the marriage. Or prior to arriving on these shores. ICA and MOM hold their trump cards very close to their chests and the punishment is severe. Witness the guy who just got whacked for releasing information before they actually wanted to do it.

So wait 24 months from the date of your rejection before reapplying. You also need to remember, as you are not a BBC you have an uphill battle as the quota for Caucasians is very, very small on an annual basis.

I applied successfully for my PR approximately a year after the previous rejection. However, each case is different. You are better off giving it a bit of time like SF and SMS have suggested.

And that would be a key difference. I was already married for 4 years (also to an SC) when I applied
successfully.

As usual, always get useful suggestion here. Thanks to Mr. SMS, SF and team.
About 2 years of wait after rejection seems to be too long. For example...start job in singapore...wait for 2 years...getting rejection in about 2 years...so 4 years already gone...than wait for another 2 years for 2nd attempt...6 years gone if another rejection is in 2 years then 8 years and so on until unless very lucky.

Agreed. Frankly, depending on the profile, I would probably recommend people to keep an alternative plan in place. Namely, prepare to move to another country before it's too late. Usually applies to Indians who are not married to SCs or PRs.

Very very subjective and the 2 years time is to have something significant changed in your application. Example you had a case where there is a 50K pay rise or education completion, may be apply in 1 year? Just quoted a number for example.
