I think Kids education should be implicit. I am wondering, In todays time where its normal to wait for about 1.5 years do we really need to update ICA (during the processing of the application) when a child starts his education?

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Hello folks,
I would like to obtain your valuable opinion on how likely my PR application can get approved. My detailed info is as below:
Age : 27
Race : Chinese
Nationality: China
Gender : Male
Marital Status : Single
Education : Master degree in NUS, Bachelor degree in China
Current Field of Work : Supply Chain Planner in MNC (German company)
Length of stay in SG: Almost 5 years (from Aug 2016)
Working Experience: 4 years
Salary : Basic $52k (w/o bonus)
Pass : EP
I changed job in Aug 2020 while waiting for result of my first application (submitted in Jun 2020). I did resubmit my new employment letter via email, but documents such as payslips, etc were not available during that time. And I got rejected in Nov.
I'm thinking to have a 2nd try this year since new job is stable now and salary slightly increased.
Please kindly give me your assessment. Thanks in advance!

Question. Are you a 2nd Generation Australian or a naturalized one?

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Okay, good to know. I have to agree with what singaporeflyer mentioned. The reason I asked the question I did was I wanted to make sure (hoping anyway) that you were NOT naturalized as that would have been a sure negative if you had be Naturalized there and then come here to try to gain PR here. This was a big thing with Indian Nationals around the turn of the century with some coming here and holding PR in around 2 other countries, collecting PRs as it were. ICA got wise to it so started checking where the were coming from and what was their status in the previous country. At least that trip wire isn't there for you guys. Personally, I think you might have a leg up but it may still be an uphill battle. Make sure your son is on the application. Good luck. Keep us posted how it goes.

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Hello again everyone. Would just like to update the forum that I received my IPA letter yesterday. The date of approval was 26 April 2021 - around 20 months after submitting my application. The status in the ICA portal still states "PR application is pending" - guess the system has yet to update.singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Thu, 01 Apr 2021 11:47 pmYou will get it eventually. If rejected, apply via your spouse as the sponsor.naminaminami wrote: ↑Wed, 31 Mar 2021 6:17 pmHello Everyone!
I have only recently come across this forum and would like to get your opinion on the likelihood of my PR application being approved. I applied in August 2019 and am still awaiting the results. I have browsed through the forum and know that this is not uncommon - but I cannot help being a little antsy!
I am married to a Singapore Citizen (Malay) but applied for myself and not through the spousal-sponsor route.

Salary: Basic $72k
Pass: Employment Pass
Thanks everyone for your time!
Thanks for your time and input!

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Congratulations. And thanks for the current status of receiving IPA vrs ICA portal 'pending'. They don't update daily, just like the MOM. MOM generally updates 2x a month, shortly after the beginning of the month and somewhere around mid-month. I suspect ICA does something similar as well. Another good example is looking at the date of the IP letter and looking at the date you received the IPA in the mail. Sometimes there is a week lag between the letter date and the actual received date and it only takes 1 or 2 days max for mail delivery anywhere in Singapore. Letters are generated daily, but only posted once a week, and I'm guessing probably on Friday evening, e.g. Sat mornings. Again, congrats!

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Just adding my experience as a data point as i have benefited from the forum
PR IPA obtained a few days ago
Applied Mid/End Aug 2020
Portal updated 2 days after date of letter
Letter received day after portal update
(i have been anxious and check portal every day)
Button to submit additional docs indeed disappeared 10 days ago
Now i have a question for anyone's help. I was a former PR (lapsed when i moved out of Singapore years ago). Therefore, i have an additional document requirement to satisfy my IPA - letter from CPF board confirming no CPF withdrawal (and if there is withdrawal, to refund with interest ). I have emailed CPF board for help (can't get the letter from CPF office). How long does it take for CPF board to produce the letter (i have not withdrawn CPF). This is causing me worries, as the IPA is valid only for one month from date of letter, and the IPA mentioned that CPF letter process can take a month!
Sigh,, still anxious even after IPA approval. Another question: Can IPA 1 month period be extended via appeal?
Anyway: reminder to all former PR/citizens reapplying to be PR again: go get the CPF letter early!
