Hi Forum, I have a question on job changes while a PR application is in process:
This is my second application (it's been around 4 months since this application was submitted). I now have a job offer from a company that will increase my salary (both base pay as well as total comp). If I move companies at this point in my application, is this likely to be viewed positively, when my application is reviewed? Or will I be viewed as a "job hopper"? (I've been with my present company for nearly 2.5 years).
TIA for your thoughts.

No one can say for sure. But if career, role and salary improves it should be OK.
Do what is good for you and your career. Even if you stay here, there is no guarantee that PR will be approved for sure.

Should have waited until you were married at least 2 years before applying otherwise, could give ICA officers the idea of an arranged or marriage of convenience if you applied under FT.

Thanks for the revert. There is a rule that if you become a PR within 6 months of buying a house then SG Gov. will also reimburse the portion of HDB grants for 1 person. That's why we are looking for approval

But since your spouse is a SC, she should have already got the grant for 1 person?

This is entirely incorrect.
Do not confuse the
top up grant as “reimbursing the grant”, that is not true at all. What it means that currently your wife is eligible for the singles grant, then when you become PR, there is the option to top up the grant from singles grant to the full normal grant that SC-SC/PR couples get.

Hello.. I've been reading a lot of post about PR application as I am also in the similar situation.
We are a Filipino family living in Singapore for 10 years now.
My husband (37) works as an IT Security Specialist in one of banks here earning 170K per year + bonus. I am (33) also in the IT field as System Analyst in one of the MNC earing 100K per year + bonus. We have 2 kids, a girl (5) and a boy (2).
We applied last June 2021 and last Oct 10, I noticed that the upload button disappeared.
Reading from the posts here, it means that more or less the result will come in 2 to 3 weeks time.
I've been anxiously waiting for the result.
Do you think we have a chance?

It actually means that they don't need any additional documents. Nothing more, nothing less. However, there could well be as determination within a couple weeks as has happened occasionally. However, it doesn't mean anything as to whether or not your application is successful or not. You just have to hang in there.

How long are you in SG and what are your educations?
If you are in SG for more than 4-5 years, you may have a chance.
