Chance will be still low. Also little surprised that 80K annual salary is given EP P1. Are you sure?
Thanks. I'll update again if I have outcome.

Hi @singaporeflyer / everyone, I have applied recently on my own last Dec 2020 and got rejected last May 2021. I will try for the 2nd time (looking for an agency/consultancy - you can recommend if you know any). I understand i might need to re-apply after 6 months upon rejection letter was received. I am also asking the probability (%) of my chances getting approved. here are some of my info:

Age: 35
Race: Filipino
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Single
Education: Bachelor's Degree Engineering
Current Work Industry: Oil & Gas (Network Engineer)
Length of stay: 5 years, 3 months (same company)
Annual Salary: 59K
Pass: S-Pass

Let me know if you need additional information.

Thank you and I appreciate your input. Cheers!

Save your money. Agency/consultancy cannot help you. Although they will help drain your bank account. If you don't wait at least 2 years AND have substantial changes, the result will be the same. If you are a network engineer you already know if you keep putting in the same data the resulting output will also be the same. Get yourself up to an EP then try. It will still be a hard upstream swim as you are in the "others" category.

Surely going to be very tough before you get on EP and improve your salary.

Hi everyone,

With my wife, we are considering applying for PR. Appreciate it if anyone can give us some tips and also rate our chance for pr approval. Our profiles;

Me:
Age: 35M
Race: Caucasian
Highest Education: Ph.D. in EU
Job: Senior Research Fellow (Material Science)
Length of stay in SG: 2.5 years
Length of employment with my current employer: 2.5 years
Salary: Basic S$70.8K per annum + at least 1-month bonus
Pass: SP

Spouse:
Age: 32F
Race: Caucasian
Highest Education: Ph.D. in EU
Job: Research Fellow (Biomedicine)
Length of stay in SG: 1.5 years
Length of employment with my current employer: 1.5 years
Salary: Basic S$63.6K per annum + at least 1-month bonus
Pass: EP

Due to quota limitations during my work pass application, I got SP. As my wife has EP, does it provide a better chance to make her main applicant? Thank you.

Chance is going to be very very low due to quota, current salary levels on the lower side for PHD holders, short duration of work in SG.

Hi everyone, hoping to tap into your expertise. I'm considering applying for PR, and wondering if it's more advantageous to apply BEFORE or AFTER getting married in October 2021. My fiance is Caucasian and we intend to build a family here in Singapore.

I'm also planning to change my job from a leading MNC to an established startup (with Temasek as one of the funders) around October. Is it better to apply BEFORE or AFTER?

My profile:
Age: 34F
Race: Chinese Indonesian
Highest Education: MBA from INSEAD
Job: Marketing
Length of stay in SG: 1 year
Length of employment with my current employer: 1
Salary: Fixed monthly salary S$144K (S$102K basic salary + 42K fixed allowance)
Pass: EP

Much appreciate any tip and advice!

With this monthly salary, I’d buy an island in Indonesia and staff it, and stock it full of leisurely crafts.

After 3 years of working in SG, you will have a fair chance.

Hi,

I've been following this forum quietly for sometime and found resources are helpful!

I've applied the PR Jan 2020 (first time after waiting some tax years), and since then on pending mode. Looking to see your expertise here on my chance of getting approval

Profile:
Job: IT Engineer (support)
Age: 32, single
Nationality: Indonesian (stated as race on application)
Religion: Christian
Length of stay in Singapore: 5 Years
Working in Singapore: 5 years
Annual salary: S$80,000 (EP P1 Holder)
Qualifications: Bachelor of IT from Indonesia (top Indonesia's university, part of ASEAN University Network)

Timeline:

Jan 2020: Applied PR
March 2020: Changed job, informed ICA, ack'ed by them
August 2020: ICA sent an email asking me to procure my family (parents, sisters) CV which I did.

Since then it's completely silent.

What is the odd of me getting approval this year?
Chance will be still low. Also little surprised that 80K annual salary is given EP P1. Are you sure?
I've just received the outcome letter few days ago :o . They gave me the In Principle Approval. I think I was beating the odds here. Also, I heard from my Indonesian circles, two families got their PR approved around one month earlier.

I'd need to procure some original documents which are with my mom in Indonesia. I don't know how to proceed since it's gonna be difficult these days.
